Wonder 08:51 video
It’s a sound you can’t hear Distractions that you feel Feelings that never stay But the sights far away It’s as real as can be Manifests in front of me It’s a sound you can’t hear But you’ll see Distractions you just know Never leave But you’ll see Reality fades And the mind, it starts to wander off, and in its place is Blank canvas dream Given time, it starts to all come to real life Always there, but that’s not how it really seems Changing colors with a sound Flashing lights swirling around I can see it, but it’s not there All those colors... Who’s to say that it can’t be real Not just something we feel Visions, decisions, in the dark All it takes is a little spark to ignite I know it sounds like I’ve lost my mind But what I saw I swear I saw Who’s to say that it can’t be real Not just something we feel Suppressed for too long it can’t be ideal Wonder is what this is, Eyes to the sky and mouth wide open Fearful Filled with shock Let the feeling take you over Hearing sounds you cannot hear, seeing patterns you cannot see It’s real I swear it’s real It manifests in front of me It’s real It’s just something we feel It fades And the mind, it starts to wander off, And in its place is Blank canvas dream Given time it starts to all go back to real life, It’s real It’s real We feel

Stay awake I’m too far into it to bring myself to sleep Another second and I lost another moment I’m tired but it’s not torment The lights are too bright, I can’t... What does this mean? It must be all a dream I can’t sleep Seeing God through my pillow Was the light red? Was is yellow? Be quiet, mind Can’t you see? It’s yours to keep Leave me be? Don’t leave me be Once I sleep, my dreams won’t keep When I sleep, and if I sleep again Stay awake A day and night gone by with so much, have I seen I’m struggling to process all this information Cyclical divine equation The lights are so bright, I can’t... I think I met God Or maybe I’m just high I can’t sleep Seeing God through my pillow Was the light red? Was is yellow? Can’t you see? It’s yours to keep Leave me be? Don’t leave me be Once I sleep, my dreams won’t keep When I sleep, and if I sleep again Can you make out what I’ve said to you? My friends say: “That’s ok... You just need some rest. Give it a rest” Talking outside my door to my family Can’t you see? It’s yours to keep Leave me be? Don’t leave me be When I sleep, my dreams won’t keep When I sleep And if I sleep Let me be, just let me be... Leave me be, but please hear me... When I sleep, my dreams won’t keep When I sleep And if I sleep again

I’ve Been Here before Now, again We’re here… Light is fading faster, days are gone, swallowed by the sky Used to seeing stars, feeling like I want to die It’s true How I wish I had said better things I know I’m so Self-critical My apathy Is fantasy Can’t let it go… Staring down a well, pity overwhelming me, Way up high Clouds are parting quickly, make way, the effect I know How I wish I had said better things For myself So critical I’m pitiful And miserable I’ll let it go when I have read Into my head I’ll tell myself I should’ve said “Look there, way up high, you’ll see the clouds clear the way for tomorrow’s sky” It will come, tomorrow, and it waits for you, just someone we all know It’s there, all day, we’ll dream of how tomorrow wasn’t there So self-critical derivative and primitive I’ll let it go when I have read what I have said Won’t let myself go Make way for tomorrow knows what, What goes Look to see tomorrow It goes Fly through the blue screen for warmth in victims' empathy Neglect that the cure hides inside We pull the reins of the truths that are revealed to be Steer wisely amidst days you breathe
